Dengue fever - Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics, with a geographical spread similar to malaria. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur.
Chromatic genus - The chromatic genus is a genus of divisions of the tetrachord characterized by an upper interval of a minor third. The remainder of the tetrachord (the pyknon) is divided into two adjacent semitones (hence this genus is the origin of the modern term, chromatic).
Heros genus - The genus Heros includes 5-10 fish species in the Cichlidae family. Fishes from this genus where often previously included in the "catch-all" genus Cichlasoma.
Genus-differentia definition - A genus-differentia definition is one in which a word or concept that indicates a species -- a specific type of item, not necessarily a biological category -- is described first by a broader category, the genus, then distinguished from other items in that category by differentia. The differentiae of a species are the species' properties that other members of the genus do not have.
